Synopsis: In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship.
It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.
Starring: Jason Biggs, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jennifer Coolidge and Eugene Levy.
The American Pie movies were always great to watch because they were timed perfectly, at least with my life. The first American Pie was released right before I graduated and was about them trying to lose their virginity before graduation. American Pie 2 had the group back together and was partying in a beach house during their college years and then came American Wedding. At those same times I was graduating high school, party’n in beach houses during the summer, and thankfully not getting married. Although I did not get married the same time as the movie came out, a lot of my friends did get married. Now here it is, 2012, the year of my 10 year high school reunion and the American Pie series continues. It is for that reason alone, I will go see this movie.
Please do not bring up any of the American Pie spin-off’s in a comment or something. Those movies make me want to punch an elderly person in the face.
